If you are a student or faculty member at Furman University, you can access STD testing and treatment at the University’s Health Center. The center also distributes free condoms in the ESHC lobby. Routine gynecological care is provided, including birth control options and annual physicals. Although walk-ins are accepted, it’s often more convenient to call ahead for an appointment. Greenville County Health Department
The County Health Department operates several clinics throughout the county, including one in Greenville. If you are a Greenville resident, you can receive screening for various STIs, including fast-track tests for HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia; however, patients must be asymptomatic. The clinic can also provide you with medicine and treatment if you test positive. All services are completely confidential. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the staff asks that you preschedule appointments by calling or using the online request form.

New Horizon Family Health Services
This comprehensive treatment center offers STD testing and vaccines for hepatitis A and B. HIV services are provided through its Ryan White Program. The center’s mobile vehicle visits homeless shelters and other nonprofit organizations, bringing health care to all residents. New Horizons works with various South Carolina insurance plans, including SC Medicaid and Medicare, but the center treats all patients so you can receive care if you are uninsured. Prisma Health – Piedmont OB/GYN
Prisma Health provides screening for STDs and HIV, along with pregnancy testing. The center employs female physicians who are experienced in adolescent gynecological problems and available to counsel you on STD prevention, birth control methods, and HPV vaccinations. Prisma Health provides financial assistance to patients with income below federal poverty guidelines. Appointments are required, and you can use telehealth services to discuss problems. The center is open Monday through Thursday until 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until noon.
